Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Bristol runner
Perfect timing for me and Paul today as it was still raining (as it had been all morning) when we set out to visit Mrs J but by the time I had parked up to start my run the rain had eased off and with a much cooler temperature than yesterdays muggy effort it was a pleasant little jog down to the mission.
On arrival Paul and I were greeted by Mrs J and her three "little lions" - Annie (the loud and inquisitive one), Pria (the friendliest and lickiest one) and Hamilton (hard of hearing but with the coolest name). All rescue Shih Tzus and now having reached the age of thirteen they have enjoyed a lovely life with each other and Mrs J.
In between lots of canine cuddles and a rather nice cup of milky coffee we managed to weed two beds on either side of the garden and prune a rather overgrown rose bush which had tried taking over next doors garden, whilst putting the world to rights.
Always a pleasure working, chatting and catching up with Paul and our couple of hours flew by, particularly with the help of our new buddies!
