If you had happened to be passing by Chiswick Town Hall last night, you may have noticed some slightly peculiar moves happening by lots of people in red tshirts. It wasn't, as Chris described it, the mating dance of the blue footed booby, but a group of us GGers trying out a new warm up. Have a look at the photos to see exactly what we were up to!

Coordination tested and heart rates raised, we set off for Harvard Hill, a local rec which is kept beautiful and welcoming for local people by a group of volunteers. We met Livia and Marie-Claire who handed out tools and got to work pulling out bind weed, thistles, brambles and other weeds. Talk of the Euros kept us entertained, we discussed the upcoming races for the weekend and Tish and Gus trialled a radical new gardening method!

Before long we had made a big difference to the flower beds and so it was time for fitness. With Paul kindly supplying the small change, we gambled on the flip of a coin for forfeits such as burpees, sit ups, frog jumps and other little challenges. Somehow Alan had the luck with him and managed to escape the majority, while Michelle ended up with a total body workout! For the last one it was the whole group together going for heads with 10 V crunches at stake. The toss revealed a tail and so everybody had to do the exercise. Or did it? We'll never know...

Next Saturday there is a mission on Turnham Green which is in desperate need of a few helping hands. If you fancy a session weaving branches to protect against invasive crabs in perhaps one of the nichest GG sessions yet, then sign up here for a Sunday of fun.

Looking forward to seeing you all next week when we're heading back to the Comboni centre for some quiet, reflective GoodGyming.

Good luck to Alan and Michelle and the others taking on the capital ring ultra, to Florian racing 10km in Richmond, and to everybody else lacing up their shoes this weekend!
