Report written by Islington runner
Everyone got into the Season of Giving this week as Nineteen runners flocked together to help The Nest Project sort donated children's clothes. Either that or it was the prospect of flying through the Bath Christmas Market showing off our running tights.
Pear Pressure
We had two new faces tonight, welcome Frankie and Allie, and a visitor from Bristol (you'll be a Bathonian before you know it Chris). After the warmup, Steph had us introduce ourselves and our favourite fruit - evidently avocados don't count - before we split into two groups for the run out to the Nest. Pascale led the faster group, Steph led the superior one, and we all left without feather ado.
As the Crow Flies
This is one of our longer runs so we ran straight out. Wren we arrived at the Nest, we jumped straight in and began sorting out baby clothes by age group. There was no winging it for some of us as we've been out here before - look no feather, we're clothes sorting experts. The Nest Project is a wonderful charity that gives out baby clothes to families in need. Take a look at everything they do on their website. We took a well-deserved break on the sofas for a quick photo opportunity before heading back to the roost with no egrets.
Frost and Foremost, a Photo
We came home to nest at the giant snow globe in the Christmas Market and before Steph could say, 'You snow the drill' we all piled into the globe for a photo. We finished off with everyone showing off their favourite stretches before flying the coop.
Don't Forget!
The Christmas Party on Saturday, 16th December followed by the Bath Skyline Race #2 on Sunday 17th December (sure, it'll be fine...PBs for everyone).
