Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
As london's tube strike caused havoc across, 30 runners assembled to roll down to Domino's community centre to shift wood and rebuild their stone fire pit.
We started with a sustained squat while we went round doing a head count, this got us read for the 500m job to the community centre.
We were met my Paula and co who briefed us in what needed carrying. The sun, low in the sky, came out just as we arrived and lit the scene.
suffered during parties
We had to rebuild the fire pit which had suffered during parties (quite a technical job), sort out a huge pile of wood and free some trees from some piles of bricks that had been placed around them.
26 mins were allotted to the first two tasks which were completed on time and on budget.
The tree job took a mere 7 mins after that was complete.
The group split into 4 packs for the way back: 4k at 7min/ k 4k run at 6min / k 6k at 9 min / miles 6k at 5.30 min / k
The idea was to get a good sense of speed and to stick to the pace. The 5.30 and 9.30 groups were almost bang on pace. In your training run this week, if you're not already, try using RunKeeper, it's free it also connects with our site.
Stretching was done, and we headed back out into the night.
Also, massive congrats to Lorna who returned for her first run after the Marathon.
