To celebrate Tav's 50th Good deed with Goodgym, he got to lead the run, as Angela was poorly.

Run report to be added later, but sending this out now to meet the deadline. Check out the awesome photos.

Thanks for covering Tav.

10 epic Goodgymers and a talented linguist:

Not Toadal Loo-sers

Wednesday 27th September: Tav led this week and dutifully followed the GoodGym protocol, making sure we numbered off and that we all stuck together (including Bob). There were a few announcements made whilst we warmed up - Tav’s 50th GoodGym (congrats!) and various runs that some of us are in training for, including the Royal Parks Half, the Oxford Half and the Dublin Marathon. After a few squats (even some jumping ones) and teaching Tommy about who the Loch Ness Monster is (or isn’t…), we headed off for a short run to the riverside for some more litter picking. As Angela mentioned last week, it is World Rivers Day on Saturday and therefore it was a good opportunity for us to show support for this initiative and keep our river paths clear. It is hard to litter pick in the dark but with a combination of head torches and determination we persevered. Highlights of the evening included finding a toad who hopped off into the grass after having three head torches shining on it. We hope we helped it find its way to the water (that’s where toads want to be, right?!). Other finds included a WHOLE LOO ROLL (useful) and a toy aeroplane. Apologies to all the leaves we collected due to mistaking them for litter (again, it’s getting dark).

After our litter pick, we headed off through the park to the town centre for some paired hill running on North Hill. Tav’s instructions were: ‘on your return, I want you to NOT be able to speak to me’. We managed this quite well, mainly because we didn’t really want to speak to him anyway… After some excellent hill sprinting, we jogged back to Leisure World for a cool down and some stretches. Well done all! Hope to see you next time
