Starting a trail run in the drizzle might deter some, but our GoodGym gang are made of sterner stuff. An ecotrail had been mapped out for us by Camino Ultra.

It's a little known fact that the London Borough of Ealing is on the side of a hill. Now they tell us! We headed off through some slippery trails, gaining ascendency towards the high point of Horsenden Hill.

Three of the four wore trail shoes, tailormade for the conditions. One wore road shoes, tailormade for sliding.

After admiring unspoilt views of Wembley Stadium, the gang skidded down through the woods. Horsenden Farm offers respite and coffee to weary runners et al.

Down, down, down they spiraled, on and on to West Ealing Elizabeth Line station, the culmination of a morning well mudded.

Did the trail slider go faster than the runners?

That cover photo says it all! Looks like a great run, Harvey. I'd like to join next time if I'm not injured! I wonder which hardcore runner skipped the trail running shoes today ๐Ÿ˜

I was the mystery slider ๐Ÿ˜‚ but managed to stay totally upright thanks to Harveyโ€™s expert guiding! Thanks for a great run and for the coffee!
