460 people turned out on what was an overcast Saturday morning but by 9am it was warm and bright. Elizabeth and Sam (and little Jim) marshalled today cheering on all those running, jogging and walking. By the time runners reached my marshalling point on the first lap I accumulated a number of discarded jackets to look after as the temperature was rising. We had a good number of Goodgymers out today in Catton some with their families, well done everyone, also our Leader was running so I took the opportunity to tell him to “run faster, get those arms working” not that he’s a Slave driver on a Monday night 😂 he’s a great leader 😘 There was a large group of runners from The Royal Mail today who were giving out cake at the end 😋 they were using Parkrun to get work colleagues to get out more, well done.
