For this week's Wednesday community mission at St.George the Martyr (SGM) church I was the only volunteer from GoodGym, but I was joined by regular volunteers Clive, Jenny and Simon.
The delivery of items was a small amount compared to previous deliveries on Wednesday including lots of vegetables, such as leeks, fennels, onions, and peppers. We also took in deliveries of wholemeal tortilla wraps and tinned low-fat rice puddings.
Another successful re-stock and re-shelve for Thursday's Supermarket at the SGM.
This task supported
The food cooperative provides members with low cost food to help reduce food bills and tackle food insecurity. It also reuses surplus food to prevent food being thrown away.
