It was meant to be the evening that we sowed the wildflower seeds but a few hiccups meant we'll have to revisiting for sowing.
We gathered nice and early at Glass Mill, choosing to shelter inside from the wind tunnel outside of Glass Mill. We celebrated Vic's podium place at a 10k on Sunday which was post-digging up the wild garlic on Saturday.
A quick warm up of high knees, heel flicks and star jumps and we were on our way over to Hither Green.
There was no sign of Anne-Marie so we split and one group went to Springbank Community Garden to wait for the tools and we waited hoping to see Anne-Marie turn the corner. A quick phone call later and crisis averted, my group ran a couple of loops and on the last loop met up with the tool carriers.
With less time than planned we got stuck right in, the cardboard was laid in record time, covering the last area to be covered and we began moving the soil into place. We all worked very quickly to get the cardboard covered in time, it was an excellent strength workout!
We just had time for a group photo and to return the tools back to Springbank Community Garden before we made our way down the hill and back to Glass Mill.
