After a moody day with a few heavy downpours, we got lucky with the evening slot - protected by the GoodGym gods. A probable dent in our numbers due to the weather, but still we had a strong collective, able to make a little change on a local community theatre. I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth, joining for her second run.

We nipped out from the cafe area, warmed up through the autumnal chill and went through a weekly random question "Your favourite gadget, past or present?" We had a few kitchen appliances - magi-mix and nesprsso machines. A couple of musical teamsters picked pertinent devices, a tuner that's oblivious to outside sound and a gadget for a trumpet that directs the sweet horny melodies direct to your headphones - no external sound. A watch (Al, outdoor training obsessed), penknife (me, yup, i have a fetish for multi-tools), camera (Charlene's snap happy), hoover (Justin has mental weekends) and a paint-gun (guess who?!) amongst the mix too.

We arrived at the destination as one, Clarissa came out to meet and present us with the weeds that needed to be plucked out of existence. That quasi-philosophical question of "is it a weed, is it a plant?" came up several times. I say whenever in doubt rip it out, but I have a lifetime ban from Kew Gardens, so don't listen to me.

We got through about half of the job, I think a return trip to finish the job is on the cards - i'll keep you'll in the loop! Small pyramid interval on the way home got us back a little quicker for pizza. Plus allowed you to identify different running zones/intensities - good to remember that we ain't one speed machines. Impressed at the pace you guys weaved through dimly lit east london side streets - love it.

Finished with a lovely pizza and beer, sorry had to dash - early start and late finish today and I'm almost as old Brad (30), minus the youthful shirts.

Have a coooooooking week
