The Salvation Army (Mile Cross)Norwich luncheon club last opened its doors on 16th March in between times the Army had been delivering food box’s to those who wanted one. Today was special as we were able to prepare lunch for 12 people socially distanced in the Hall. Everyone was very excited to see their friends they hadn’t seen all this time, and us working in the kitchen also. Some of our patrons had been quite isolated and today marked a turning point for them. Lots of different ways of doing things had to be explained to them (average age 88) but everyone adhered to the new ways and went home very happy. Us in the kitchen also had to work in a new way but we soon got the hang of it.
