27 GG Yorkies came along on the 27th to do LOADS of tasks, run all over the place and err.. eat a lot of cake!

We gave a massive welcome to Andrew who was up visiting York and came along to join us as well as long-standing member Tom who joined us for his first ever group run, great to have you both along.

The wonderful GG Yorkies presented me with a very special, customised GoodEgg GoodGym t-shirt for my birthday, as well as an amazing birthday card - they're fab! One quick change and a little 33 lunge warm up and we were ready to run.

Nick and Aron led out a squad to run north and dig up wild garlic bulbs with John and Jonathan supporting by bike. Meanwhile Paul and Leanne backed me up as the rest of the group ran to Tang Hall Community Centre where we were met by Ian.

We want the THCC logo planted with crocuses

Barbara led the planting team to create a beautiful crocus acronym whilst everybody else ploughed through leaf clearance across the site. Piles of leaves were loaded onto wheelbarrows as we boosted the volume of the compost heap.

I led a small breakaway group to go and meet Dan of Derwenthorpe. The Derwenthorpe Residents had secured a small grant to purchase a vast quantity of bulbs to plant along the edge of the cycleway. With 500 bluebell bulbs to plant, there was no time to waste.

Five minutes later, the garlic collection team arrived with err.. plenty more bulbs. So much planting, so little time. The group got into a routine with some people as dedicated diggers of tiny holes whilst others dropped bulbs in as quickly as possible.

The THCC team arrived back first and boshed through 33 squats of all shapes and sizes, as well as their 27 press ups for the November Press Up Challenge. Then we all had a lovely stretch and re-fuelled with lots of cake. As well as Huw's cookies and my brownies, Becky turned up with coffee cake muffins and Ellie stealth dropped a huge bag of cookies even though she couldn't make the group run OR the pub - what a hero!
