SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Brahma Pochee
Always a good start to the session when I need four hands to count our numbers. With Andy returning after a looong stint away, we welcome you back with weak and open running arms. Another intrepid cyclist at GGN, with Tim and Alice setting the bar high already. Justine completing her fourth session, now on a little roll, keep it coming J! The headline news goes to Siobhan who completed the big 5-0. Our official GGN photographer has been a rock of consistency since she rolled up for a painting task at the Greenway last year. Big respect, let's cheers her tonight at the social.
Weekly questions "Athletic or endurance targets you'd like to achieve, realistically or not?" And of equal importance your nourishment to sustain such ambitious targets "your favourite crisps?" From faster parkruns (love parkrun, love life), finishing half marathons, marathons and ultras (!!), winning the FA. Cup, cycling to Russia, cycling to Turkey...inspiring stuff guys. Oh and the crisps, oof, let's not even get into, it's just too exciting, I might have a fit of salivation.
So off to Cody Dock we trotted. Delightfully crisp cold air to liven us up for the task at hand. Essentially stripping down an art exhibition - removing pics, plinths, nails, the stage, the curtains and then varnishing the floor to finish it all off. Crikey - that was potentially the most efficient 25mins I've seen you guys hammer through. Unreal. The intensity of that varnishing was insane, I mean, you might even make it a spectator sport. Mesmeric. Hang on, Curling's already thing, we're halfway there.
See you all tonight for beers and cheers as we host the GoodGym social for all areas. Be ready to be serenaded by Graham's dulcet tones. Out on a school night, I'm excited, who's going to be that drunk uncle/aunt we order a taxi for at 9pm, I love that person. Note to self - hold it together, don't be him, not again.
See you all later
ps next week's session, indoor painting at the school, let's continue on our efforts from last week sign up
