What Allotment to Tidy Up
5 GoodGymers made their way 8km to help the Luton Borough Council Parks and Countryside in Luton.

Five GoodGymers made their way on a good long straight fairly flat run out to a disused allotment on Bradley Road. The council are working to bring this neglected patch back into use but the first step would be mowing the grass, not possible while the whole area is still full of old allotment garden junk.
We arrived and set to hunting in the long grass for the things that would catch on a mowers blade. Old raised bed sides, bits of old windows and doors, hoses, buckets, plastic sheeting, all were pulled out and added to an impressive pile of junk, ready for disposal. It'll be great to see the allotment back in use one day soon!
