After a surprise email on a Friday, it was time for Goodgym to go to Barry. This would be Lisa's first mission (hopefully not her last), Mikey arrived late due to a wrong turn in to a quarry and a fall at the last moment. After getting watered after the long run and cleaning the wounded Mrs. A got the two to work. She used to be a nurse so the wounded Mikey was soon hoping around again ready to work, and Lisa was raring to get going on her first mission.

Lets get into the Sunshine

The job was simple, brambles had started to peek through the lovely plant in the garden and needed removing. Sounds easy, however the garden was on a slope and there had been enough accidents for one day.

The brambles never stood a chance

Mikey armed with secateurs went straight for the long stems, whilst Lisa went at them with a trowel and determination. Brambles can become a nuisance in gardens, sending down its roots amongst hedges and shrubs. Mrs. A said that her husband used to do this but was unable to now so was very glad for our help.

In what seemed like no time at all and with very little scratches thanks to the hard core gloves, the brambles were clear and the garden bag full.

We thanked Mrs. A and her husband for their kind hospitality and headed back to Cardiff.
