The Achilles International group run session went ahead this week, with a few less participants than usual. Understandable, considering three of our core group of VI runners are about to take on the London Marathon (good luck Naqi, Andrew and Richard!), and Chris and Eva had just run Berlin Marathon together last weekend!
Area Activator Simon and Katie met up with Achilles regular Tom to run 10km around Green Park (past Buckingham Palace, and along Horse Guards Parade). A loop of the pedestrianised section of the park is 1.2 miles, so Katie and Simon ran 5 loops between them, with an additional 200 meter sprint at the end!
Wonderful running everyone. We are waiting for confirmation on where the next session will be held (Green Park with headtorches, or Paddington Rec Track with floodlights). As soon we know, we will list up the details for next Thursday!
