Lambeth Report written by Yianny (he / him)
A wonderful way to start 2025 was meeting our awesome Lambeth GGers and heading out for the first group session of the year.
It was a triple celebration session and so with the blessing of the group I will keep the run report mercifully brief and cut the waffle so here we go:
Quote of the evening from Daniel on his 2nd ever session "There is only upside to this GoodGym thing!"
We ended the eve with some sweet treats as well.
Much love to everyone, on with the January Challenge and I look forward to seeing you next time!

And so GG Lambeth rounded out the 2024 Group Runs with a session to help out our favourite organisation.
Let's start at the beginning, we were delighted to have Dan join us for his first session, welcome Dan great to have you with us!
With a few of the group not being able to make it that left Katie and Yianny to round out the numbers and the weather decided to be less dry and more wet than previously expected. As a result AA changed the task on the fly from the planned litter pick bingo to leafletting for GoodGym :0)
A big thank you to Katie for bringing her reverse Advent Calendar donations which will be given to Lambeth foodbanks.
We set off on our 4km loop via Clapham North with time to regale Dan with GG stories and how things work (also where the best bars are on Landor Road!) Once we were back at base we grabbed handfuls if GG flyers and headed to a new block of streets and houses to drum up support for volunteers in 2025.
And so that was that, last session done, only slightly soggy and a nice session to boot.
Just time for me to say a last big thank you to all the GGers who have done so much good work this year, it has been an absolute pleasure to spend time with you! 2024 - out.

It's that time of year again (where has 2024 gone?!) and the Lambeth crew were out in force for our task with Holy Trinity followed by the winter social!
Yule be pleased to know that this report won't be full of bad puns or riddles unlike the GG End of Year Quiz...
As a rare occurrence we all met at HT to help Nicole, Adam and the team get the place ready for the Christmas carrolling service, which meant chair stacking / unstacking / shifting / rolling and storing. The gangways needed to be just large enough for people to get through jingle file and tables were covered with foil and battery operated candles.
We also had the use of two carpet washers - sleigh what?! - and could artistically place the candles around the place to look magical.
But wait there's myrrh, the task was rounded off with a visit to the straw hall to see it open and completed (with GG having helped out in past tasks) while Adam made use of the kitchen to prepare some hot snacks for everyone which was berry welcome.
And so deer friends we headed to the pub for our GG Quiz of the year, some mulled and unmulled wine, amazing prizes and sweet treats.
It only remains for me to thank everyone not only for last night but also the whole year of doing good while getting fit, you guys are awesome :0)
We are back next week for the last Group Run of 2024 so hope to see you there!

Last night our wonderful Run Leader Joao led the team out to Sunnyhill Primary School to help out on a task organised for us by Task Force hero Jo - teamwork makes the dream work as they say!
as we were heading a bit further afield it meant a meet at Streatham Hill station rather than Papa's and the team set off from there for a short run up the hill to the school.
We had a strong group of 9 willing volunteers and great to have Louise across again to help out, thanks Louise!
Check out the awesome photos (we had too many to include them all so might drop a few on the sosh's) of ourvols shifting woodchip and lifting compost from one area over to where the kids will be using it for gardening lessons.
Last but not least we had Will along who baked us some delicious cookies and that makes it all even better in my book.
Big thanks to all and we look forward to seeing you next week where we will celebrate Tilly's 100th Good Deed so don't miss that and of course those who wish can go for a drink afterwards as well! :0)
