On a lovely Saturday afternoon, 5 GoodGymmers form Coventry, ran, walked and cycled to the allotments of Team Springboard. This beautiful allotment had been unable to accept volunteers during lockdown so there were many tasks that they needed a hand with.
One team tidied donated wood, sorted and weeded an overgrown area. Another team barrowed wood chippings and spread it around the newly weeded toddler area.
After a quick cuppa and chocolate snack we continued on our tasks, cutting back more weeds and nettles in the wildlife area and Graeme made an arch.
It was so lovely to learn more about the allotment and find new objects that could be re-used in the allotment and plenty of wildlife to spot too. Thanks Esther and we hope to see you again soon.
