Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lucy Hill
I braved the freezing temperatures to head to Mr G after work for a his weekly GoodGym shop.
Mr G as usual had put together a ‘booklet’ of labels and lids of what he wanted, and had also requested for a cheeky packet of cigarettes this week, even though he knew he shouldn’t! I head to Waitrose first, to grab the specific ready meals he had requested and queued to get the contraband… Ten minutes of waiting later, I requested the specific packet only to be declined as I did not have ID with me! At 31 and a half years old, I decided I would take it as a compliment. My woolly hat clearly made me look distinctly youthful (either that or at least it covered up my grey hairs).
Next stop, Sainsburys, where the rest of the goods were sourced… bar the cigarettes. This time, with my hat off, I was served, however they did not have specific brand of tobacco that Mr G had asked for, so I decided it was the universe’s way of telling me this one wasn’t meant to be!
Shopping delivered back to Mr G, he thanked me for helping out, and was glad I had prioritised his yoghurts over the ciggies, and once more I left for the cold conditions outside.

I wouldn't sell you cigarettes either, Lucy 😜
