Status: Absolutely smashed it! 💪

The Return of the Champions 🏆

What a way to kick off the new year! We were pining for our first session of 2026, and boy did it deliver. The gang assembled for an absolute classic - hunting down abandoned Christmas trees across Clapham and dragging them to their final resting place on the Common.

Special shoutouts to our prodigal runners:

• Andy made his triumphant return after more than 5 years away (we promise the trees haven’t changed that much!)
• Eric was back at it after his hiatus - clearly couldn’t stay away from the tree-mendous fun
• Louise crossed the river to rejoin us after over a year away from Lambeth sessions - we’re so glad she branched back out to visit! 🤗

After racing around Clapham like festive tree-hunting squirrels, we managed to shift an absolutely fir-ocious 38.5 trees (yes, really - someone clearly couldn’t bear to part with half their tree) plus a few wreaths to boot! 🌲🎄

We’re not saying we’re heroes, but we definitely spruced up the neighborhood.

GoodGym Lambeth Run Report 🏃‍♀️💪

This week we were off to Holy Trinity Church to help Nicole with our final festive fix-up of the year - and boy, did we move things along! 🎄

The Mission: Operation Party Prep 🎉

Our task? A classic case of shift-and-shuffle as we helped clear space under HT for this weekend's celebrations. We moved items into storage faster than you can say "Good-Gym-nastics!" 💪🏼

With boxes relocated and clutter conquered, the space was transformed from storage chaos to party paradise. Talk about a moving experience! 📦✨

But Wait, There's More! 🏃‍♂️💨

Now for the really important bit - we had somewhere to be, and fast! Our end of year social and quiz was calling, and we weren't about to miss out on our chance to show off our big brains alongside those big biceps. 🧠💪

Quiz Night Spectacular! 🎊🍾

Our lovely group gathered for an epic battle of the minds (and puns) featuring: - 5 quiz rounds mixing GoodGym trivia with general knowledge 🤓 - A mystery challenge round that had everyone scratching their heads - Plenty of not-so-serious shenanigans and creative chaos 😂

In the end, it was the Big Ballerz who took home the glory! 🏆 But as the old game show wisdom goes: "Everyone was a Winner!" (Especially when there's good company, great laughs, and possibly some festive treats involved) 😊

Where: Max Roach Park (where the bugs roam free, but the bottle tops don’t!)

The Mission 🎯

We were cap-tivated to be back at Max Roach Park this week, answering the call from Tom at Lambeth Council for another epic bottle top crack down! Because apparently, bottle tops are like glitter – they get EVERYWHERE and refuse to leave the party. 🍾✨

The Squad 💪

Tonight we had the fantastic four: Dan, Adam, Michael, and Ben absolutely crushing it (or should we say, trowel-ing it?). Thanks so much for turning up, guys – you really are the tops! 🤗

The Action 🧹

Tom rolled out the red carpet… well, actually he rolled out the trowels, dustpans, brushes, black bags, and high vis vests – basically the Lamborghini of cleaning equipment. We felt VERY fancy. 🥳

Our mission: tackle the areas around the bins (because apparently that’s where all the party fouls happen). We collected:

• A couple of kilos of cigarette butts (gross but someone’s gotta do it! 🚬)
• Heavy loads of bottle tops (we can't cap our enthusiasm)
• Various other debris that thought it could hide from us (spoiler: it couldn’t)

The Plot Twist 😱

In devastating news, we completely binned our sweetie treat tradition tonight. We forgot them! But fear not – this means DOUBLE treats next time! 😊🍬🍫

GoodGym Lambeth Run Report: Weeding Out the Competition! 🏃‍♀️🌿

Mission: Operation Lavender Rescue at Max Roach Park

This week, our magnificent crew of do-gooders descended upon Max Roach Park faster than weeds in a rainstorm! Michelle and the Friends of MR Park rolled out the green carpet (literally) and invited us to wage war on the burdock bandits threatening their beloved Lavender Maze. 💜

The A-Team Assembled:

• Andy (finally correctly identified! 🎉) and his pawsome puppy sidekick
• Adam, Michael, Fi, and Ben

Our old pal Father Nature was on hand to brief the troops, and boy, did we get down and dirty! Armed with determination and questionable gardening skills, we pulled, stuffed, and mulched like our lives depended on it. Those weeds didn’t stand a chance – we really rooted them out! 🌱

The burdock invasion was no match for our elite squad. We showed those prickly customers the door (or should we say, the compost heap?). The lavender can finally breathe easy and smell sweet again!

Post-Mission Debrief: Ben came through with the ultimate reward – homemade brownies to complete the bake-off sweepstake! Because nothing says “we crushed it” like crushing some chocolate treats. 🍫

Great work, team! You’re all mint to be doing this! 🌿

This week's mission: Litter Pick Bingo and Plastic Patrol! 💪🏼

TRASH TALK 🗑️ Our lovely crew proved that one person's trash is another person's...well, recycling! We gave an old favorite a new twist and honestly, it was RUBBISH (in the best way possible)!

Armed with bags and the Plastic Patrol app, our heroes combed the local area like environmental detectives, picking up every piece of recyclable waste we could find. We bagged it, logged it, and made sure it all ended up in the right bin. Because sorting is our cardio! 📱♻️

PICK OF THE BUNCH 🌟 Huge shoutout to our usual cast of legends: Fi, Katie, Ben, and Tilly - you absolute trash pandas! 🦝 We love you guys! Your dedication to keeping Lambeth clean while getting fit is truly un-RUBBISH-able! 🤗

THE AFTERMATH 🍻 As if picking up litter wasn't rewarding enough, tonight was a RUNNER MANDATED SOCIAL (the best kind of mandate, let's be honest). The whole crew headed to the pub afterwards to raise a glass to our success. Cheers to making the world a better place, one pint and one piece of plastic at a time! 🍻
