Camden Report written by Pete Hutchings
It was a hot one, so we met and the task and took it easy.
After our last visit and failed attempt and pressure washing we manged to get it up and run to further clean areas of the patio
We revamped some planters very which had masses of old dead plants and roots to be replaced with new soil and plants.
Moving an olive tree other established pots we created a screen for the green which will be further enhanced by the sweet peas and strawberries we had planted.
The large pots made way for the grow bags and vegetable planting with courgettes, tomatoes and aubergine's going in.
All efforts rewarded with cake thanks to Liz!
We'll be back in a few weeks to do more preparation for Clean Breaks summer festival.

Barnet Report written by Paul Salman
A few of us came together for some gentle exercise and a chat . It was suggested to try a morning or evening session of exercises. Maybe something worth trying in the weeks ahead. The starting point is the commitment to come to your mat - that's all the commitment that is required. Great to hear John has fully recovered from Covid. Sorry we couldnt hear you Abi.

Seven Good Gym members met at Avenue House Finchley to plog. ( well most of us did). Five of us chatted and warmed up in the old stable yard of the grade two listed house and chatted about our favourite puddings! We then set off on a social distant run picking up our sixth runner Claire who was locking up her bike also called Claire. ( I know its bizarre). So now we were six runners (but still not magnificent) until we ran into Kat . Now we were the magnificent seven and ready to do battle with our trusty pickers. We spent the next thirty minutes clearing the foot path of detritus. This included tins of alcohol, crisp bags and even a hubcap.! ( nice one John) It was a mild and pleasant evening for a targeted stroll. We then deposited our rubbish bags for collection and ran back the 2 km Avenue house for a warm down and stretch. Shout out for Vicki with a last minute sign up. Ivana for coming from Watford. Patricia on her second good deed
Thanks for coming it was fun and we did some good.

Barnet Report written by Danny
8 of us came out today from across Brent and Barnet to help-out at Clitterhouse Farm, including Lucas and Harry both there for the first time, thanks a lot for coming out! ๐
In fact none of us had been here for a Community Mission since September last year, and there have been developments, despite Coronavirus. Most striking is the large conservatory near the back of the farm. There should now be plenty of indoor space to have a quick break when the more grim months come around. No need today though as it was glorious out. โ๏ธ
The farm was open for Open House weekend so there were lots of people coming and going, children pressing apples ๐ ๐ and people selling jars of honey and such. We were there for real work mind, so the 8 of us split out to handle soil (and dust) moving at the front and back of the farm.
At the back, the ground needs to be levelled to make a path so the team were helping regular taskowner Thomas to turn it over and help grade it.
In the front, the rest of us helped gardener Alan with filling a new raised bed for bamboo ๐. Once established, the bamboo can be dug-out and parts can be sold. For now though, we needed to sort the soil and fill the bed up bit by bit. There was plenty of fun bits of plastic and broken glass in there, but best of all, the jaws of several animals ๐, both rather different (see pics.) Any zoologists reading who might recognise the teeth / jaws, let us know below perhaps please... ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ท๐ด ? Whilst filling the bed from a pile of soil way down in the playing field, we also took turns fighting back some ivy that was crowding the path by the new raised bed.
It was all tough work to be done today so thanks so much for coming down team! Chances are weโll be back again soon enough (lockdown #2 notwithstanding) so watch this space for that...
