Even the wet, muddy conditions today couldn't keep the park runners away. We had Cambridge Goodgymmers on a mini round Britain tour, with Caroline at Burnage Park Run near Manchester and Catherine and myself volunteering at Fulbourn Hospital Park Run. Catherine did a fantastic job barcode scanning the 105 doughty runners, while I was able to help with the post-run close down. All followed by a nice hot drink at the café.

A tree-mendously festive morning, sprucing up the nursery one fir at a time 🎄
We got fully festive this morning at Darwin Nurseries, joining a merry band of movers to shift 700 Christmas Trees from the delivery lorry to the sales area. It was a brilliant all-round fitness activity with strength training, some cardio and lots of steps. 💪
We really enjoyed getting to know the Darwin team and working together, having a good laugh while we completed this mighty task! We worked through all weathers and even had some sleet. ❄️
The mincemeat shortbread was a real treat during a much needed break to refuel for round 2. 🫓
It was a fir-st class effort all round 🙌

🎉 Happy 1 year to Cambridge GoodGym! 🎉
This week marks a year of doing good in Cambridge and we met to celebrate. We love doing good for the community, and tonight was all about a bit of good for the lovely people who make it happen. ♥️
We headed to Cambridge's board room cafe, but we were chatting so much, we didn't get round to playing any games. We heard tales of climbing Mount Fuji, discussed the impacts of poverty on wellbeing, and of course debriefed the traitors final! Quite the eclectic mix.
TaskForce met early to do a little bit of planning, whilst indulging in some delicious milkshakes. It was then great to welcome newer GoodGymers and get to know each other better as Cambridge GoodGym goes from strength to strength.
✨ 1 year on from our first Community Mission in Cambridge, we look forward to what the next year holds!🙌

Two Goodgymers - Nick and I - spent a lovely morning helping tidy up this great comunity orchard in preparation for a family event next week. We cleared away some prickly brambles and annoying nettles, making space around the seating areas. We also helped out with planting beans in the adjoining community allotment, harvesting some late potatoes along the way. It was bloomin' marvellous!

Also I sorted the bins out. There were over 100 cans. It is in my diary when to take them out. With wheeling them back that is 4 trips there and back. Great exercise!
Tue 18th Nov at 12:25pm
Well done Nick! 🙌
