Keeping the sunny in Sunny Worthing
Tonight we headed back to St Barnabas to tidy up the flower beds and prune the trees in the car park which are difficult to reach within business hours.
After a hot warm up run to the task, my trusty regular team armed with tools set to work on the task. Nick opted for the high road, Gill and Belinda the low road whilst Beth got lost in the middle somewhere. Can you spot her in the 'Find the Beth photo?!'
Roses are red , violets are blue, hospice loves helpers and GoodGym does too!
With the work rate faster than the speed of light we hardly had time to make a wish before it was time to clear up and take the steamy run back to our 'one night only' base at Worthing Leisure Centre.
Its a RUNderful life
A quick flick around the track as a warm down and it was another fond farewell from the GoodGym team.

GoodGym winged runner arrives on the South Coast
On a sunny and blustery evening in Costa del Worthing we were delighted to welcome Debs from Bristol who wore her much sought after 50 task, black t shirt. She confided in us that she also has a 100 task winged version that is kept tucked away for extra special occasions. I can't wait to see one of these!
Massive GG cheer to you lovely lady for your fun and dedication supporting us today, and Brighton on their launch tomorrow. We hope you enjoyed your GG south coast experience notching up some more good deeds to your ever expanding portfolio.
Victorious in Victoria Park
After an extended relaxed warm up run my elite team arrived in one of our local community parks where we returned to the site of our first ever GG task known as the 'Winter garden' Since we last visited in March this area has developed a wild side and needed a lot of taming this evening. Our friendly park ranger Duncan was there to guide and support us with our task.
It was lovely to have Belinda back this evening with her smile and energy and getting right into the heart of the task getting covered in debris too. Special mention to Gill too who is carrying a niggly ankle injury but still turned out this evening.
As ever, the amount of work achieved in such a short amount of time was truly miraculous .You all had your wings on this evening.
Try try try again Rafa
As a fun fitness session we introduced a rugby ball into the mix this evening. With it came running, sprinting, jumping and passing drills led by head coach Nick .Watch this space as a new breed of British Lionesses' may have been made tonight!
Should I mention that for some this was the first time they had held this strange shaped ball ? Nooo way !
Queen of the multi tasking was Beth with a wonderful synergy of rugby, running, taking photos and providing live updates on the progress of the one and only Mr Nadal, Sadly for Beth but happily for Murray and Muller fans it was the wrong result but wait ! Weren't we all taught that its not the winning its the taking part that counts !?
Seas The Day
It would have been rude not to have shown Debs our lovely view of the sea and pier on the way back to base so after a scenic coastal route we finished up with tricep dips ,stretches , updates and farewells.
Thank you for another very happy Monday you wonderful people.
A massive GoodGym Worthing heart coated cheer to you all

Community gardens receive tlc from GoodGym Worthing
After a quick warm up along the prom on a summer evening in Sunny Worthing my small but elite team headed in the direction of Denton gardens where we had our usual cheery welcome from Park Ranger , Keith.
We gave a warm GG welcome to Lucy today who was visiting for the evening . Thank you for your hard work , banter and energy. Please accept a GG cheer from us all.
The team immediately got going on the task which included weeding and pruning a stretch of overgrown flower beds
Making a dent in Denton Gardens !
The weeds and puns came at such a pace that Ranger Keith was having to work hard to keep up with the piles of debris we created in our wake !
Queen of the bindweed
Gill is 3 weeks away from doing her Lunartic marathon and even struggling with a dodgy back after a hard week of training she turned out for GG . Not only did Gill do some fine pruning but she simply owned the killer bindweed tonight . A huge and loving GG cheer to you lovely lady.
Beth gets ready to 'Raf' it at Wimbledon !
After a day of watching her most favourite person on TV Beth turned out for a leg stretcher and good deed before she was heading up to SW19 to camp out in preparation for her next Rafael experience. As you will see from the photos, once again, we had to go looking for her in the depths of the flower bed !
Bon voyage Duncan !
Just a few short hours before Duncan heads off to NZ, he turned out for his last GG task for a month on holiday. There's a nice photo of Duncan so that we don't forget what he looks like !
A fun and friendly 5 k
After a tidy up and wave goodbye to Ranger Keith Nick led the run with long legged N R G weaving through the streets of Worthing encouraging a pacey sprint back along the seafront to GG base at Splashpoint Leisure Centre.
Gill and I also took a look at the wild flower progress at Beach House gardens that we did and we were delighted to see it looking so lush and pretty. Hopefully Splashpoint beds will not be far behind !
Stretches ,well dones , happy holidays and some quality press ups from Lucy finished off the evening nicely!
Thanks team . You always make my smile bigger on Monday evenings !
