At Barnwell Community Centre I harvested the broad beans. I also planted some raspberries. Hope there isn't any more bindweed next time! Great vegan hot chocolate halfway through. Eco Nick

This evening we cycled from Kendal to Grasmere! Well...in spirit.
As part of Cherry Hinton Care Home's Lands End to John O'Groats cycle challenge, two determined GoodGymers cycled 25 (very warm) kilometeres to help get a little further along the journey. Raising vital funds for Magpas Air Ambulance, we were happy to get peddling. đ´ââī¸ đ´
See you again next week!

Two GoodGymers joined parkrun volunteers to support the smooth running of Milton Country parkrun. It was a beautiful sunny morning to be marshalling, cheering on brilliant runners and walkers. đŖ

We were back marshalling at Coldham's Common parkrun this morning, and what a morning for it. âī¸
Coupled with a spot of litter picking, thanks to Nick always being on the look out, it was definitely time well spent. There is always a great atmosphere and we enjoyed cheering lots for all the amazing runners and walkers. đŖ

I spotted loads of litter off Newmarket road. I piled it up but I couldn't remove it. I contacted the club who contacted Abbey people (I volunteer with them often). I enjoyed briefing around 15 people and off we went. We collected so many bags then headed to the ground for refreshments. Just shows what teamwork can achieve. Very satisfying (one pic of rubbish is about half total collected). Rubbish sorted into recyclables etc.

What a glorious morning gardening in the sunshine with residents of Cherry Hinton Care Home. đĒģ
It was brilliant to welcome GoodGymers Nik and Rosalyn for their first community mission.đĒ
We spent time sprucing up the herb garden, replenishing the bird baths, and planting up some bee-friendly flowers, supporting biodiversity in the garden. Joined by residents M and R, we learned a lot about the different plant varieties thanks to M's encyclopaedic knowledge of flowers. There really was a lovely sense of community and even some delicious cake! âī¸
