It was stormy weather in Leicester but it didn't stop our goodgym volunteers helping out at parkrun. We had Martin at Abbeypark at Braunstone we had Amanda, Jimmy and Ian and over at Watermead we had Jeanette, Katy, Dave and Nick well done everyone 👏

Todays team of six:Leese,Mel,Lindsay,Jimmy, Nick. Jeanette all met up at Age UK's Leicester warehouse/ store for a session at sorting,pricing and labelling clothes heading for the "99p sale" section. All items were checked for size and hung on the clothes hanger with the correct size cube. Lisa got cracking on organizing the empty clothes hangers into the size groups - the ocd'rs amongst appreciated the orderliness of the newly sorted hangers. Having done this task on a previous session Lindsay was straight into completing the task for each item: amend price, attach label, place item on clothes hanger, whereas a few of us split the job into seperate sections. Fuelled on biscuits and coffee in 90 minutes, we priced sized and sorted over 5 bags of donated clothes. The time flew too quickly, we could have carried on for a lot longer!

3 goodgymmers made sure junior parkrun could go ahead this week with Dave and Jeannette braving the cold on the day and katy volunteering from the warmth of her own home as vc!

Today's hi viz here's were Martin at abbeypark Shelia at Braunstone Jeanette at watermead and Ashley at Melton all contributing to make the world 🌎 a better place.

Today was world Kindness 🌎 day and Martin got the biscuits and milk then made the teas and washed up at his local running club it's good for the mind to be kind.

6 goodgymmers helped out at junior parkrun this remembrance Sunday, with RD, marshalls and tail walking duties covered!
