On Sunday morning Charlotte and Jonny took part in a massive litter picking session at Sutton Coldfield train station.
Jonny cycled to and from the session and Charlotte got dropped off before walking back, getting in her daily steps.
GG joined forces with the Sutton Coldfield Litter Action Group and Friends of Wylde Green Train Station for a big litter pick at the front of the station.
You can see from the copious bags in the pictures that it was certainly worthwhile.
In total we filled 67 bags of rubbish, plus around 30 bags of glass bottles hence the pun! On top of all this we found a toaster, road signs, a handbag and various other random items! I'm sure we cleared many years of litter!
In total there was around 30 volunteers from the various groups, making it a lovely atmosphere to be apart of :)

On a wonderful sunny morning in Sutton Coldfield GoodGym did a litter pick on our 'adopted' Birmingham Road section.
Selvi did her first ever GoodGym session, doing a great job, as you can see from the photos we managed 2 bags of rubbish which included a rather large box in one of them!
Next week GoodGym will be in Erdington on Saturday morning helping out at the Tiny Forest and then on Sunday back in Sutton Coldfield for a big litter pick with the Friends of Wylde Green station for a litter pick at Sutton Coldfield train station.

This morning Jonny helped out at the Glovers Trust.
It was a beutiful sunny morning, so armed with a bin bag and a wheelbarrow the task was to clear debrie in the form of twigs etc and a bit of a litter pick.
The green area lends itself to wildlife, with one of the residents telling me there was a fox den in the bushes. What i did find wildlife wise was a dead rat! Hopefully his name wasn't Roland!

GoodGym Sutton Coldfield helped out at Chester Road Baptist Church.
The task was weeding the car park and we did a great job (see the before and after pics!).
We spent a good hour weeding followed by a nice catch up after over a drink and home in time for lunch :)

On a sunny lunchtime Jonny and Jo went down to our adopted area of Birmingham Road to do a litter pick.
We quite quickly saw an area by a bus stop which was full of litter, but we gave it a good pick (see the before and after photos) it's amazing what you can fit into a quick 30 minute lunch break session :)

Yesterday Jonny and Jo helped out at the Glovers Trust.
The task was clearing debri from the gardens and with it being such a lovely sunny day it was nice not to need gloves on for once!
