Jen, Dave and Judy helped the super-organised Clothes Line volunteers to unload at the Havant end of the move, with the benefit of a goods lift, to avoid using the stairs.
We unloaded the boxes of donated clothes, sorted by age, and hung kids' coats on racks.
A slight mind-jangling moment trying to organise kids' and adults' size footwear, but all done with amazing speed and efficiency.

Catherine, Tom and Mel were today helping Kids Clothes Line pack up and leave their current premises to move to new and bigger storage in Havant. The weather was lovely and sunny and perfect for what we needed to do. There was a huge amount of clothes containers, boxers, hangered clothes in bags, paper carrier bags of sorted/allocated clothing, crockery, heaters, boxes of paper bags, and a small table to go. We had a good number of people helping out and to make things move a little bit quicker and safely we formed a line of people leading from the upstairs storage loft, down some steep stairs, and out to the van for loading. It was very effective and it took under an hour to move it all downstairs. Not quite everything went on the larger van, but a smaller van was used to pick up the balance of items and driven over to the new premises - whilst waiting for the smaller van we swept up and left a nice clear area of space for another use and took a welcome refreshment break in the sunshine. More Goodgymers and other helpers were waiting in Havant to offload and move everything to the new space with the benefit of trollies and a lift. It was a lovely task and our help at both sites were much appreciated by the charity. It's a temporary move until new storage is available back in Portsmouth - hopefully, we'll be able to help Kids Clothes Line out again in the future.
