Two GoodGymers spent the morning volunteering at Modern Parkrun by guiding and cheering runners, and ensuring everything ran smoothly and safely. Their enthusiasm brought extra energy to the event, supported participants of all ages, and strengthened the link between GoodGym and the local community while enjoying a great start to the weekend.

Three Goodgym members: Jade, Ams, and I joined the Morden Parkrun runners for their usual Saturday run. Jade had an excellent run, while Ams and I volunteered, taking on different roles. The run was an exciting one, and the team had a lot of fun.

A call out to GoodGym volunteers rumbled up some enthusiastic members to help boost Morden Parkrun this morning! We had a fantastic time supporting the event, helping with everything from set-up and marshalling to guiding runners through the funnel and even token sorting. It was a great way to start the weekend. The morning was made even better with a little shout-out during the briefing, 2 team members running and 1 PB - well done team!

After receiving a last minute call out for volunteers this morning I donned a hi-vis vest and joined the brilliant team at Morden Parkrun! Having been assigned barcode scanning duty, congratulating runners and making sure their efforts were scanned and delivered was a great way to spend Saturday morning.

The Goodgym Merton team were back in action at Parkrun Morden this morning. Handling setup with ease, cheering on runners as marshals at key points on the undulating course, and then dove straight into the post-run token sorting. Even squeezing in a 5k, promotion with the local Councillors and a coffee. What a great day to start the day!

Three GoodGymmers braved the muddy course at Morden Parkrun this week, proving that even when the going gets tough, the tough get going (and a little bit muddy!). The dynamic duo of marshals, Paul and Jade, kept runners on the straight and narrow (or as straight as it could be on the muddy course!), offering encouragement and preventing any pile-ups. Meanwhile, Mike achieved a PB and crossed the finish line in plenty of time to wield a barcode scanner, demonstrating true multi-tasking prowess.
Despite the slippery conditions, spirits remained high, with plenty of smiles and a quick coffee before heading of, some to another Goodgym session and more mud.
A huge thank you to Morden Parkrun for having us! We look forward to returning soon and hopefully finding the course a little less boggy. Join us next month: https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/volunteer-at-morden-parkrun-8a6cda09-9c04-4b6c-84b6-84dacac3a607
