What a glorious morning!
Thank you to everyone who cane to the Blenheim jaunt.
We started in the town square and encountered some very mean boy ducks and did some excellent people watching. We them set off around Blenheim Palace park stopping to admire sheep and lambs, avoid some very protective goose parents and their fluffy babies and also to get our breath back at the top of the big hill!
The routes were planned to perfection (yes I'm feeling smug about that!) and we regrouped in the square before having our all important post-run refreshments.
It seems that we even managed to tire out coach Rosie!!
I'll be planning some more social run/walk sessions over the summer. Keep your eyes peeled!

Last night we returned to the magical spot that is Boundary Brook Nature Reserve. we've done lots of tasks here over the years - usually moving heavy things, laying paths or digging out bramble roots! This evening's jobs were a little more gentle - or so we thought!
Helen needed us to plant out some little plug plants on the outskirts of the meadows so that they can naturally pollinate and spread over time. Despite the rain earlier in the day, the dry weather meant that the ground was rock hard!
We soon had a fab tag team approach. The water carriers would soak the ground, the planters could then dig and plant the plugs, then more water was added. We made short work of 50 plug plants allowing time to lop over-hanging branches around the paths and start weeding a soft-fruit area.
Bethan and Joe then did a gorgeous after task run.
A lovely evening - good work team!!

This evening we returned to the Warneford Hospital site to flashmob some of their flower beds.
The flower beds in the aptly named Meadow ward had got quite over-grown and needed a good weed, a food water and some general TLC.
After crowning Ellie for achieving her 100th Good deed and enjoying some Celebrations, we set to work.
Thistles, lots of grass and some pesky dandelions were removed, a wild patch preserved to protect a hedgehog house, and the best Celebration thoroughly debated. I'm team Bounty - possibly in the 1% minority of the population!
Watering cans were emptied and woodchip spread to hopefully ensure that the beds stay happy!
Good work team.
Double points if you can name the musical reference in the title.....,
