Three is not a crowd! But we man-aged 😁 Duncan and Graham set about trench digging ready to put in place the final piece of the moon bed!! While I cut back the raspberry canes and trimmed the various bushes around the compost area. Lots of bulbs were uncovered in the soil that was removed from the beds so we moved them to the garden boarder with a hope they with survive and flower in the spring. Lots of hard graft this evening certainly deserved my beer!!

It's now fully dark at 6pm so a bit tricky. Duncan managed to get us some amazing lights which were super helpful. Graham and Duncan started on the construction of the second 'moon bed' wall while Ricky and I rearranged the compost area. One more sessions should see the completion of the bed and some cutting back. Then we can decide what is needed to plant in the spring 🌱🌻🦋🐜🐛🏵️

How lucky the weather was kind to us this evening. Belinda got in there quick and bagged the climbing task John held the ladder and pointed out the pesky vines. Ricky set about the creeper that overhangs the fence. Graham and I cut back the hedges and tried in vain to burn some of the cuttings. It all looks tidy, thanks everyone. Thought I spotted a red squirrel, but it was a belinda 😉

In our second session at South Downs Leisure we put the fencing in place that forms the new flower beds and lit a bonfire to burn some of the weeds, both that had been cut from the climbers and from ground level.

Another lovely calm weather evening with just the Starlings for our musical entertainment.
Still lots to cut back and prune before the light fades. Ricky and Graham got started on cutting back the overhanging trees and bushes and I removed the vine that was choking one of the shrubs. Lots of weeding done too. Still have the silver birch to cut back the bench to sand and treat .... Plus the moon beds to fix... Join us soon 😁

Eyes to the sky this evening at Worthing leisure Centre garden! Working double quick as the clouds gathered. Beds weeded expertly by Graham and Stacy soil moved to panel dug a few weeks ago by John. More seed heads gathered for next spring. We were treated to a half rainbow and a beautiful sunset, perfect end to the evening and we didn't get soaked!!

This evening we :- Stacy Graham and I decided to tidy round the green house. More lively music must have done the trick as we got So much done!! We emptied the large wooden crate which we are thinking or using as a giant planter in the garden. Cleared a very untidy corner of bamboo canes and brushed everywhere!! So much accomplished in the time.
Next week some actual gardening and possibly building the separate beds with concrete laying, think I will leave that to the guys 🤣

Short track session before the task... Who's idea was that? So hot!! Another fantastic sunny evening, with music while we work... Duncan and Graham excavated the horseshoe bed and sawed the planks ready to be sunk into cement.
While myself and John set about digging the channel for possible planting, ground was so solid!! Natacha raked and cut up what Ricky cut back from further up the border. Congrats to Ricky on his 50th task this evening I'm hoping there will be a party planned in your honor!! Lovely to have Belinda visit in her posh dress 😊

Got to the task early this evening and glimpsed Duncan sprinting round the track, may get Graham to chase him next week!!!!
Another fabulously productive evening, helped enormously by the pumping music of the spin classes. So much to do still, and plans already for our next session.
This evening Duncan, Graham and myself cut back mountains of vine that had over hung the green house, while Ricky chopped and bagged it up, we then cleared the area at the side of the green house. Next weeks tasks:- Sand down the lovely memorial bench Cut a border out along fence in prep for flowers. Continue to re build the horseshoe beds. More cutting back of silver birch. And anything else I can think of. Thanks again for everyones super hard work, who needs to go to the gym!!! Ps can anyone spot the hidden Duncan???
