Jax Burgoyne completed 25 good deeds with GoodGym.
Jax has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

We helped by taking an old oven and chair down from a first floor flat (no lift) to the pavement for collection tomorrow. Definitely good that there were two of us.
Forgot to take photos, so here's a picture of my cat.

We helped by clearing laminate flooring and other things out of the person's garden, ready for the council to collect it.

Mr K is upset as the flooring was placed outside his property and now the other neighbours are adding to the pile. His flooring being removed means he will be able to report the other rubbish to Norwich City Council.

Jax Burgoyne completed their first weekend mission.
Jax has forgone the usual weekend routine. Instead of lie-ins, roasts and strolls around the park Jax has dropped everything to run a GoodGym mission for someone who needed help. Respect

We cleared the back garden of bindweed. Probably there are some bits left hiding, but we did our best to get rid of any bindweed leaves etc as otherwise it grows back with a vengeance.
Green bin full. Very satisfying!

Tonight 19 GoodGymers ran 6km to Mousehold Health to help support the biodiversity in this natural habitat.
It's a regular and popular task on the GG Norwich calender lead by Will the local warden, who provided tools and a gave us a historical background on this famous site.
We split into 2 groups, covering a wide area pulling up bracken to allow heather and other plant species to grow. We also used 5 pitch forks to clear the area of a former chapel ready for a Heritage Open Day History Walk taking place this weekend. See the booking link if you are interested in attending.
We also celebrated the runners, volunteers and cheerleaders, who took to the streets of the city centre for Run Norwich 10km yesterday! Nice one team.
After a swift hours work it was time to bid farewell. We will be back again for more conservation work in the next month.
