For the 3rd week it a row the weather was difficult! This week, again it was soggy, very soggy. Nevertheless 182 people turned up to run/jog/walk there way around Catton Park. I was Number checker today, luckily we have a lovely clip board cover to protect the paperwork in these wet conditions, always an important job as it can add as backup if anything goes wrong with the Timekeeping and unfortunately today one Timekeepers phone fell foul to the rain and went a bit way wood. Bobby kept a little dryer marshalling in the woods. It wasn’t a day for hanging around afterwards, us hardy Volunteers were left to clear up, have a coffee and make our way home

Catton Parkrun #390 saw 261 people arriving on what they hoped would be a cooler morning, but no it was HUMID not very pleasant at all. Beks (&Emrys) enjoyed their cooler spot in the woods to Marshal whilst Bobby took on Disco Corner for the first time, after he rang Susanna to bring her speaker so he could utilise his phone. I was timekeeper, out in the sun, forgetting my hat this week. everyone set off at a general pace this week, including a number of first timers who had just discovered this lovely park even though they’d lived close buy for many years. Flying the Goodgym flag today Roisin, Suzanna , Alina & Robert O who flew around the park. Well done everyone. As marshals we had cake as one of our regular runners/marshals was running is 200th Parkrun. Shout out to everyone completing the course today, wether it was your first time, tourist, milestone run, you got out of bed and you did it. Whatever time you did, however you got yourself round, you did it. Well done, see you next week

Robert Bakewell earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Robert completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Robert was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
