What a lovely morning for a training session!
Deb and Tanya paired up for a 3k while I cycled ahead of Sally and Neil who did 5k. The quayside was sunny and bustling and everyone was full of smiles.
It was brilliant to catch up with a coffee afterwards by Louise who had run a brilliant 28k to start the weekend! Also passing by, I'm sure just for us, was a very impressive ship that I managed to feature in one of our photos.
Perfect morning!

It's been way too long since our last face to face fitness session and it was so good to catch up on a chilly night by the Tyne.
Everyone's favourite sister act Tanya and Deb were along for the session together along with Sally, Max (he cycled there so technically its a duathlon) and Rae.
I was so excited to get the ladder, cones and whistle out .. and most importantly the GGNCL FLAG!
The session included:
Warm up
Mobility drills
Ladder drills
Five minute fartlek
Hill technique
Hill sprints
Stretching
I was so impressed with everyone's effort and it was brilliant to be back. I will list another of these sessions soon but don't forget to join us for the next Walk, Talk and Donate on Monday if you can.

Sally Cooper earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Sally completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Sally was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

There was a special guest appearance last night as Evan joined us for the Community Mission completely by chance (he was running past and got lured in!) We also welcomed back Eleanor, and gave a big hello to Sally for her first ever GoodGym good deed.
A warm evening gave us a great chance to complete a lap of the Quayside from Ouseburn to the Millenium Bridge and back over the swing bridge. We collected four bags of rubbish and had a brilliant catch up along the way.
Go and give everyone a big cheer!
