Yohanns earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.

Yohanns completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Yohanns was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Chasing rainbows 🌈

Luton Report written by Martin R

Luton Goodgyms turned out in force today to support Luton Foodbank's annual colour run. After putting on the volunteer t-shirts and sunglasses, the team headed over to the paint station. This was essentially a box full of green powder paints that we were going to coat all the runners in as they passed by on their 3 laps around Wardown Park. Surprisingly very few runners dodged the paint and instead opted for a good covering of colour. One participant asked if we could put some of the green powder paint in her hair as she had all the other colours but not green.
We had great fun playing with powder paints although our own clothes and trainers were casualties and we hope can we join again next year. Great teamwork, everyone 👏

Going VAC to a familiar venue

Luton Report written by Martin R

This weeks run/walk/cycle group task took us to a familiar setting. We recently supported the Shri Guru Ravidass Sangat Gudwara with their Near Neighbours funded cooking classes and it's always a great experience being in the kitchen, but on this occaison we helped in the temple by giving the upstairs a spruce up. When we arrived Sanjeev from the the temple had prepped the carpeted area in the main prayer hall by sprinkling a liberal amount of Shake and Vac across the floor, which once vacuumed up left the room smelling great - we really did "put the freshness back" in the room. The team also wiped down all the woodwork and dusted all the plant pots. We also had a good go at cleaning a bathroom area. Our hosts were grateful for the help and have asked if we can return again soon. This session was the first for Yohanns who met us at one of the previously mentioned cooking classes.

Great job team, well done 👏
