We met outside our old stomping ground Hyde Park Book Club. Tom Damu Katie were already there and Carol and Rob were fashionably late by a few minutes.

We set off for a a short 1km run straight to St. Michael's Road to distribute Rainbow Junktion Food collection leaflets to promote extra food donations. Just as we arrived to start the distributing the heavens decided to open almost causing a few issues with potentially soggy leaflets! Luckily, Katie had remembered we had plastic pockets for them. Hurray!

Tom and Adam split off to do the side streets and Rob, Katie and myself grouped together. After a bit of navigation troubleshooting with guessing which streets the guys might have done we ended up finding each other at a cross roads and luckily we didn't seem to duplicate any streets (we think)!

It was rather slippy and slidy out with all the wet leaves and pretty steep stairs leading to the houses which made it a little more challenging... Luckily no slips and trips however some of the public didn't get away that easy out on the streets tonight with maintaining their balance!!

We all came together to deliver the last batch of leaflets on the way back to HPBC. Tom had the idea of the electronic version of leafletting tasks.. By sending emails instead! 💡😜 Might be one to mention to Gemma! Mind you I am not sure we could call ourselves a run club at that stage!

We all agreed we didn't like the range of different letterboxes out there but all agreed it was good to be out running again!

All leaflets delivered! Mission complete.

Rainbow Junktion Cafe
The aims of the cafe continue to be to reduce food waste, feed hungry people and build community

Rainbow Junktion is one of many cafes that intercepts food that would otherwise go to waste from supermarkets, restaurants and a number of other sources, and turns it into healthy, nutritious meals for anyone and everyone on a pay-as-you-feel donation basis.
