We've been helping regularly in the gardens of the various wards of the Warneford Hospital over the last few years. There is only a tiny gardening team for the whole of the Warneford Hospital site, so it is a difficult to keep it all looking as good as it could.
One of the wards has a newly planted garden which we weeded in the autumn, and now needs some planting done. We may also/instead tackle some restoration of the rose beds.
Please bring gardening gloves. Other tools will be provided, but if you have a small trowel for the planting it could be very useful.
Meeting options:
* Anyone wishing to run to the task as a group please meet in the car park of the Richard Benson Hall, 276b Cowley Rd at 6pm. It's less than a mile to Warneford Hospital, but be warned that it's mostly up hill! We could return through the Lye Valley and golf course for a longer route back to base.
* If you would prefer to meet at the task please meet us on the lawn outside reception at Warneford Hospital at 6:15pm.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Anwen Greenaway by email at anwen@goodgym.org.
Options are available to run between 1km and 5km in total.
Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
Comments are a good place to ask any questions you may have about the session.
