Windy Monday morning and 3 goodgymers( Martin, Sarah Jane and Steph Ducat) went to help unload groceries for South Ealing Community Food cupboard. It was a waiting game as the 1st delivery came super early and was dealt with. The 2nd van was late due to traffic, but as soon as it arrived all the volunteers unloaded all the groceries on to the trolleys. Moved them inside to be sorted and stored before collection after by those in need. The 3 gymers then helped sorting some of the groceries with a cup of tea. Then Sarah was part of a dodgeball game with watermelons 🍉🍉 : melon just rolled off the shelf towards her. No watermelon was hurt during the session.

South Ealing Community Food Cupboard
The SEC Food Cupboard will offer good quality surplus food items to anyone who would like to come and collect them for their personal use.

The SEC Food Cupboard is a community project set up to reduce waste. A group of local volunteers receives/collects surplus food from the supermarkets (Eg via Felix Project) and makes it available to anyone and everyone from the local area. The SEC Food Cupboard is available to all – its aim is purely to reduce waste and everyone can help with that. Always Free! The selection of food items each week will vary according to what is surplus food on that day.
