๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿšด๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ25 glorious GoodGymmers assembled at Viking Road play area, via various means of transportation. Some ran, some walked, some cycled but all were ready to get stuck in to help the council with various tidying tasks.

๐Ÿ‘‹We were thrilled to welcome Jessica for her first good deed and Harriet for her first group run. We hope you had fun and would love to see you again.

๐Ÿฅณ We also congratulated Debs on her 200th good deed this evening by giving her the magnificent cape of good deeds, which we hope helped to keep the cold off, as well as looking spectacular ๐ŸŒˆ

๐ŸงBack at base, we'd discussed the many, many achievements of the weekend just gone, including many good deeds done and many miles logged. The commitment of the Round Sheffield Runners still to come and run/walk tonight was very admirable. (We'd also discussed everyone's favourite bird because why not?!)

๐ŸŒตBack to the task. Our job was to continue cutting back the thorny, brambly hedges and bindweed that was running riot around the playground. Some chopped and others lopped while still others raked said cuttings up to be disposed of. We filled all five tonne bags so quickly that Kristina said she regretted not bringing more. While all that was happening, other people were litter-picking around the play area (including various bottles of different shapes and sizes), making it a much more pleasant environment for everyone.

๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธIn no time at all, it was time to down tools and head back to base. While we waited for our party pace friends, we played a quick game of I spy with added squats (just what our Sheffield runners wanted). After that, we stretched off and enjoyed some delicious ginger biscuits in honour of Rich's birthday ๐Ÿช

๐Ÿ‘ŒDon't forget, there are lots more opportunities to get involved this week, and to contribute to our ambitious January Challenge targets for good deeds and distance...

To name but a few: ๐ŸŽ Thursday at 6:30pm - Holgate Community Orchard to continue the digging we've been doing there.

๐ŸŒฑ Friday morning 10am - tidying Sovereign Park Play Area , which needs a few more people to be able to go ahead.

๐Ÿ’ช Saturday 10:15am-12:15pm and/or 12:15-2:15 pm - laying slabs at Clifton Backies.

๐Ÿธ Sunday 10:30am - creating a nature area at Woodthorpe School .

๐Ÿ™ŒThank you everyone, it was great to see you, and hopefully see you soon.
