Nathan, Darren and Lucy met for a mission on a cold and wet night to Tidy the garden for Mr and Mrs T. We were welcomed in after some initial confusion over whether we were there to collect the bins!

We got to work trying to clear the garden in the dark, luckily the rain had just stopped! Nathan had kindly brought gloves along for the gang, including some fetching pink ones for Darren!

Darren started clearing the path to make it safer to walk and give access to the shed. While Nathan and Lucy collected all the loose apples that had fallen from the apple tree. They managed to fill two buckets! How do you like them apples?!?

We then cut back some of the bushes and trees to make things a little neater as well as collecting and bagging all the rubbish and recycling from the garden. It is a lovely garden and it was nice to make a start in returning it to its former glory.

We moved all the garden waste and the bins to the front but we had to do this by going through the house. We left a few muddy footprints but Lucy saved the day by mopping the hall and kitchen. She was closely monitored by the festively named dog - Noel!! Kitty the cat then made an appearance by bolting through the hall and outside. She does not like strangers we were told!

As we left, Mrs T sweetly tried to offer Nathan some money for our deeds, but we of course politely declined. There is more work to do so I am sure some of us will be running back to Mr and Mrs T in the new year.
