Report written by Wayne
On this very muggy evening Woking Goodgym had a social run along the canal to the Frog ๐ธ
Wayne, Holly, Anne, Kirsty, & Katie all met up at the starting point. Adam & James who were running from WWF were either got to catch us up or meet us there.
Once we picked up the canal Holly led the way ๐โโ๏ธ. Itโs a lovely route going past various locks and bridges and a few little inclines. Once we got to lock 28 We went across the bridge and then up sharp little hill which then took us on to a woodland are where we encountered our first obstacle getting over a fence which we all managed very gracefully ๐ซฃ then through a new housing estate and then we saw the Frog cheers all round.
We were lucky enough to find a big table outside Holly kindly fits some drinks fir everyone with plenty of water as well. 10mins later we see James & Adam in the distance as always they do their sprint finish which Adam won ๐ฌ via a shortcut. Wayneโs friend and work colleague John who lives close by also joined us for a drink ๐ฅ.
After an hour of chatting and drinking we decided it was time to run back we said our goodbyes to John and all headed back. James was very happy about the wooded area and jumping over the fence it felt like a Brutal Race that James does regularly.
The run back was good with plenty of downhills from the locks. Running back we saw a few Heronโs along the canal. Once we got to the last bridge before we got off the canal we all stopped to have a chat. Adam & James decided to continue running back to WWF ๐ฒ .
In total last night we ran between 8k - 15k Big well done to Kirsty who ran her furthest distance. Adam & James who in total ran 15k ๐
Next Wednesday we are at Pyrford Primary School to carry out some gardening work.
Have a great week everyone ๐
