The temperature was getting higher and higher both outside and inside the Ealing Soup Kitchen Hub. Very hot day and the kitchen was getting very very hot. Jacquie and Steph Ducat were joined by Ijo for the 1pm shift with handing out food bags and serving food to hungry guests. Jacquie was heping out with the bags , then moved to help the serving and kitchen team. Ijo joined Steph in the kitchen and made tea/coffee, handed out plates and assisted the 2 chefs Mary(ESK) and Steph(Goodgym). We kept our cool especially with the 2 big fans installed in the service area and kitchen as the outdoor temperature reached 30degres. THe team was fan-tastic!!! Main courses consisted of veggie pasta(with pesto) and lamb sauce with pasta. Followed by apple struddle with ice cream to cool people down. Some guests had some fresh pieces of mangoes. We also had lovely cupcakes donated for desserts.
