The sun shone for the monthly litter pick at Baffins Pond Association.

John, Vicki, Rachel, Tony and I all took the opportunity to run the Great Salterns parkrun beforehand and managed to enjoy a cricket club cup of tea before heading over to the pond.

We were joined today by Molly and Zoe so Molly could take some photos for her uni project.

The team at BPA had set up the very swanky double bin bags for collecting both rubbish and recyclables. Wilson was particularly impressed with these.

Half of us went one way and half the other as we tried to pick up all the litter that was around the area that the Easter Egg hunt was taking place later. The group that I was with found mostly small things including a bike light, reflector, 2 socks (bingo!) and some nerf bullets plus all the usual suspects. The group that went the other way hit the jackpot and found an old trampoline (hence the report title) and a mattress - that one will have to be lifted by the council.

Plenty of rubbish bags were filled and collected and the Baffins Pond area looked much cleaner by the time we finished.
