Another fab GoodGym afternoon community mission saw us visiting the North End Naomi House charity shop. We're always confined to the small back room when we're here on Saturday as the shop is open.
20 green bin bags stacked up by the wall....
The donation pens were overflowing so there was plenty for us to sort. This week we were taught how to catalogue the gift aid donations and print out barcodes. Someone had donated almost 200 items of baby clothes... That was a lot of bar codes. The donations were sorted then bagged in green bags with the relevant bar code stickers. We filled a lot of green bags.
Highlight donations this week were:
- a Mario fancy dress outfit complete with hat,
- cartoon style frankinstein hat,
- patchwork apron (Judy purchased this to hang in her new kitchen!),
- another shark blanket as well as a crocodile one
As usual Debbie was very impressed with how much we sorted. We have a reputation for efficiency now!!
