Help make running fun for kids!

Four Goodgymers and two mini Goodgymers sleighed into junior parkrun, marshaling the turnaround, run route and magic roundabout. Spirits were high, cones were jingle-belled, and cheers snowballed. Junior runners dashed through tinsel turns, spreading goodwill, mince-pie motivation and a holly-jolly helping of festive cheer, all wrapped up nicely today.

We helped litter pick at a community green space. Lots of diving into the bushes to get the hard reach bits. Wilder Portsmouth, tree wardens and HIWWT were all busy replanting planters.

Bravo brave GGers, battling with high winds, inside-out bags and bored or bemused pet dogs!
We each chose a beach or river to litter-pick during September, getting out in the fresh air to join the Marine Conservation Society's campaign to clean Britain's coasts and inland waters.
Well done for taking a moment from your month to make a small difference that adds up to a big impact.

Run Director, Funnel Manager and Tail Walker. Supported by mini-GGers Alice and Aida, we had a lovely time supporting 58 junior parkrunners this morning. Alice's K-Pop Demon Hunters warm-up was particularly joyful!
Most of our photo credits go to parkrun mega-volunteer Katherine :-)

Dave and Aoife had such a good catch up chat that we forgot to take any task photos 🫣!! So enjoy a smiley Dave in a hairband before parkrun 😁!
Very happy to report that there was very little litter to collect around the pond today.
We saw a few groups who had donned hi-vis to help keep the area neat and tidy.
We also had the keen eyed mini GG-er Aida pointing out all the wildlife for us before she decided to have a snooze.
I collected a few fallen conkers, including one that Aoife reported was a few centimetres from knocking me out!

The runners were very enthusiastic and full of energy!
I cheered them off at gate 1 and Aoife scanned their barcodes at the finish.
