Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by JP
On a beautifully sunny March afternoon, Lionel and JP met at the house of Ms H to get stuck into some serious tidying of her garden. After greeting Ms H at her door, we took the side passage into the garden where she met us to explain the task.
Ms H is a big fan of birdlife and her garden was the regular visiting spot of a wide variety of our avian friends. Not being one to let things "go to seed", she had set up a large number of bird-feeders and during the time we were there we were joined by a large number of inquisitive birds, mainly pigeons. No point getting in a flap though - we got going with the first job of moving plant pots from the patio to the side of the garden.
After the plants were all moved, Lionel moved onto to sorting boxes and crates into the side passage, while JP emptied water from a number of buckets and plastic boxes. We then teamed up to clear the rubbish from various areas before moving on to hanging a couple of new washing lines, taking care not to damage the silver birch tree we used as a support - all in the (washing) line of duty!
We didn't manage to complete the whole job but it was a satisfying first effort, and there will be a great second mission for the next couple of GGers!

Great work Lionel and JP - I'm sure Ms H will be much safer in her garden now. PS how long does it take for a toothbrush to grow?!
