Saw Patrol!
8 GoodGymers made their way 7.0km to help the Luton Borough Council Parks and Countryside in Luton.
- Wednesday, 11th of January 2023
- Led by David Mansfield
A team of 8 warmed up at the Beds Uni campus before heading out via Wardown Park to Cowslip Meadow, One of Luton's nature reserves.
Trevor the Council's ecologist needs a few trees here tidied up to let the light through to the grassland habitat.
This evening our crew were kitted out with a pruning saw each and set to work on a couple of small hawthorn trees. They pruned off the lower branches to make them more tree shaped than bushy. All the branches were taken over to the roadside for collection and we headed back into town via a group favourite squat routine at Wardown Park bandstand.
