Miracle of miracle, the rain held off during our session last night, which meant we could get loads done at our last session of the season at Chiswick House.
We've been going every three weeks to this lovely local space which is run as a charity, which meant we have been able to see the fantastic gardens change over the seasons. We've spread woodchip in the stunning community garden, hacked at brambles in the vast grounds, and have even built the most spectacular hibernacula in the woods.
Our last job for the year was to clear a huge area ready for a massive delivery of plants. A fleet of barrows and a stash of tools was waiting for us, so we got stuck in weeding, shifting and shoveling. There were huge bags of Butcher's Brush to be transported and then broken down, and masses of soil to be transported. All in all it was quite the workout!
Next week we're going to be raking up and scarifying at Turnahm green followed by a good old fitness session to make up for the short run.
Don't forget it's the women's night run next week followed by the monthly social at the southbank. Hope to see you there!

Great sling session. No need of gym session after removing the mud and plants.
