Report written by Brahma Pochee
A jaunt to Manorfield on the agenda, with somewhat reduced squad off the back of an amazing January. Nothing we can't sort out in next few weeks.
A dark sky, brisk winds and the threat of the heavens opening - we kept the chat brief, but included: "what's your most memorable physical buzz"? Luckily all family friendly answers and no salacious stories of youth. Bungee jumping, cold water swims, long walk to Glasto, rock climbing, 10k runs, cycling down mountains and scoring a first hockey goal amongst some. That heightened sense of existence - go get some.
On arrival at the school it transpired our task had doubled, with the unexpected delivery of furniture a few hours earlier. So we rolled up our sleeves. You guys moved some palettes, emptied a container, shifted play equipment over the rd and into the container, refilled the container with stuff you emptied and moved several large unwieldy tables. Need a nap just describing it. Paul was extra gracious. You guys gave a special effort over that hour. Hats off.
Next week, let's get all of us out again - so we can work through our tasks rapidly like the well oiled volunteering organism that we are.
