What a wet morning greeted both participants & volunteers! It didn’t stop ! But we were prepared, weather, wellies, umbrellas. We didn’t think we’d get many today, but no! 256 people braved this Parkrun, including Goodgymers Rob O, Tom, Roisin. Because the start field hadn’t been mowed RD James slightly changed the start to avoid the very long grass, phew it was a little chaotic! Volunteering, truly was epic today Ralph, Susanna & I earned our wages 😂 that’s for sure. This is what volunteering is all about, if you don’t volunteer the event wouldn’t take place, & those participating certainly “enjoyed” themselves, I imagine everyone went straight into the shower/bath to clean off the mud splatters & then 256 washing machine were switched on! Same time next week everyone.
