Back to our friends at Southampton city farm tonight where they had an inside task for us. We were tasked with filling bags of hay to feed the goats ready for their open day this weekend and folding and stapling leaflets. We got to welcome Hannah back on a Monday night after her maternity leave, great to have you back!

Everyone dug into filling bags with hay and Chris and Helen were on crate cleaning duty to store the bags. We soon worked out that hay gets quite dusty and Wilson won the crown for most sneezes of the evening. Special mention to Ellie for most sneezes in a row. Some of us then moved onto leaflets while the rest continued with hay bagging.

After an hour of hay bagging, leaflet folding and stapling and crate cleaning and packing we were all grateful for a break for some maths where Hannah worked out we had packed 240 bags! A massive accomplishment.

Nursery drop off followed up by filling the buggy bag with litter on the way home. All in a 5 mile run

We went the whole way to Guernsey and found parkrun. So obviously we had to tail walk and cheer everyone the whole way round. Everyone loved the littlest volunteer

Stood in at the last minute at our local parkrun as they were short on volunteers. Orla gave an extra big wave for all the buggies and dogs we saw

On a slightly grey bank holiday evening we met to litter pick at Goatee Beach, but found out it had already been picked the day before! Instead we headed along the boardwalk and then along the road to pick near the quay and pub where there was plenty of rubbish. From cigarette butts to a towel that had really had a hard life, we picked it all. We even had our littlest litter picker join us before bedtime and she was the smiliest litter picker we ever did meet!

Litter picking finished we headed for the beach just in time for high tide so we could get a refreshing dip. It was a bit blustery but that didn’t deter us from getting a cold water fix! Well done everyone for braving it. Tea and biscuits to warm up afterwards.

A nice collection of toiletries made their way to our local libraries to contribute to the BBC Soapbox Appeal!
